Our Wedding

Our Story&nbsp;We met on May 2, 2023, in the most unexpected of places—a Wawa gas station—where Donny invited me to grab a snack before heading to the airport park to watch airplanes. While there, the story began. We enjoyed a sunset, snacks and airplanes all while chatting about life. While we were ultimately kicked out at sunset, the night didn’t end there and neither did our story. At the time, we ended up at Drive Shack, where I impressed Donny with my unexpectedly solid golf swing. But Donny left the night impressed with more than just the golf, but also in the girl. It marked the start of something special.&nbsp; From the beginning, Donny brought creativity to every date. He had a running list of ideas in his phone—anything but “just getting a drink.” He knew right away that he would have to put in some serious effort to win over a woman like Lindsey. We did cooking classes, played endless board games, built pillow forts on rainy days, and even had a DIY field day where we competed for who’d buy dinner. Through each adventure, we built a relationship rooted in fun, intention, and a genuine connection. While Donny knew early on that Lindsey was special, it took a little longer for Lindsey to be won over. To this day, Donny acknowledges that he’s lucky Lindsey didn’t dump him. An acknowledgement that is rooted in a funny story and a little bit of truth.&nbsp;&nbsp; Fast forward to today, the fun continues, and the love continues to grow. We have a very busy social calendar, occasionally to Lindsey’s chagrin, filled with many activities, fun and travel. All at each others side. We often joke that we’re “overdue for a trip” when it’s been over a month or so. Through all this we’ve embraced each other’s friends and families as our own and feel incredibly lucky to be building a life—and a community—filled with love, laughter, trust, support, and meaningful memories. Together.

SpringHill Suites Jackson Hole

Jackson Hole is a beautiful destination with a range of lodging options. For guests looking for more economical stays—especially for groups—we highly recommend exploring VRBO or vacation rentals in the area. Many homes, condos and cabins are available near downtown Jackson or Wilson, and bunking together can make it a fun and affordable option for groups of friends or family. We suggest booking early, as Jackson Hole is a popular destination (especially in summer!). The ceremony and reception will be held about 45 minutes outside of downtown Jackson at Diamond Cross Ranch. We will be providing shuttle transportation to and from the venue on the wedding day. If you plan to enjoy drinks at the wedding, we highly recommend staying near downtown Jackson to make shuttle pickup and drop-off easy and safe.

The Local is one of our favorites. Located right on the Town Square, it offers a cozy-yet-upscale vibe with a focus on locally sourced meats and seasonal ingredients.You’ll find everything from house-ground burgers and fresh seafood to steaks and creative cocktails. It’s a great place to experience Jackson’s modern Western flavor in a relaxed, inviting setting. The Elk Sausage is Lindsey's favorite!

Persephone Bakery 

A local favorite with two locations! You can find it right of the town square in Jackson as well as Wilson , Persephone Bakery is the perfect spot for breakfast, coffee, or a sweet treat. Their pastries, breads, and coffee are all amazing—we especially recommend the baked goods or a latte on their cozy patio. Get there early—it’s popular for a reason!

Palate 

Located at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, Palate serves creative, locally inspired lunch dishes with stunning views of the Elk Refuge. It has a beautiful outdoor patio for dining, and while you're there, be sure to check out the museum!
